Mine is located at 170.
Now my first question: how come it to this now 170 is and not 150?

There is active help that pops up. Also the leveling up is basically the tutorial to the game. The first 50 levels you will be learning about using your ablities and so on. Thaumaturge(later on black mage) has receieved a buff last year and it's more than likely that the wiki you checked contains old information.

That'd be because wiki can contain old and outdated information. Trust what's written in-game more.
