With regard to the recent crippling of PSN ...

Are we going to be alright?

Sony just took a massive knock to their public relations, and even assuming they're not actually at fault, legally speaking or otherwise, their customer trust has taken a nasty knock and all.

Even if PSN comes out the other side intact, is this going to negatively effect the PS3 release? Bad enough our own problems, what about external factors like this keeping people from taking the proverbial plunge?

You know what am more worry? why even have a PS3 release? if Nintendo coming out with a even better system in 2012? which said to be little more power then xbox 360 and PS3. I mean nintendo was the host for Final Fantasy it's only right for FFXIV should be on the system. Let's say it still be release for PS3 i think Nintendo new system should have FFXIV FFXI was going to be on the wii but due to some issue it was never release for it.

What i love more is ppl blaming Anonymous if they did or not did it who cares some other hacker would just come along and do it again and call themself Anonymous. I hope Sony get there PSN up getting pretty mad at all the ppl complaining that they can't play COD it's like you know there a real world outside go do something else -.-

This game isn't ready for ps3 yet... Maybe a full expansion pack with it and the changes that are being patched in. As much as I want to see it on ps3 and being frustrated with a comp that can just handle the game. I don't want to see the same mistake made with the ps3 launch that was made with the PC launch. I'm hoping the ps3 launch will be epic and keep me playing for years!!

lets see what happen in the upcoming patch, the job system change is one of the most important issues so lets see how it improves the game, and please change the job names to the regular ones lol .

I'm sorry, but your nuts if you think the game is even close to ready for PS3 release let alone ready for pay to play.

-Still has major lag issues and crashing
-Still has UI problems
-Still to lite on content, both in quests and gear
-Still has graphical issues and glitches

The list can go on but really the point is made, this game is still not ready, it's getting there; I would say they will release the PS3 version with an expansion which at the earliest would be between Sept and Nov next year.

im not a ps3 user nor xbox But you know what will suck: If the PS3 psn gets hacked again.. therefore I suggest U guys push for INDEPENDANCE FROM THE PLAYSTATION NETWORK..

I think the game is ready to come out on PS3 soon after these summer updates. It's time to bring in more players and the game as is has my friends ready to play.

Sorry Janglo, I think you're just caught up in the LftD. The schedule seems overly ambitious, and I'm expecting several push-backs. Even if everything was implemented, there would only be about 4 things to do in the game after everything on that list was implemented. There will also be need for additional balancing issues. Unless the FF team has received a huge boost to the number of developers I'm pretty skeptical they will actually hit their target.

I think there is still about a year before PS3 release.

maybe, but i am just looking for concrete idea on time scale at this point rather than hearing all these opinions on what will happen when. I got friends that would be playing in current state that are losing faith in ever getting to play lol.

agree, thers a lot of people waiting for this, and the ones that keep saying that is a horrible game are the ones that play every day for free lol
