Healing bug

Sometimes, when casting a macro to cast a heal on yourself, it just wont work. no matter what you do, it will just. not. work. Myself, i dont put heals on my bar, and prefer to put them on my macro list for ease. its not because its on cooldown because i have not casted it yet.

Me and my friends call this the "healing bug" because it always ends up with you dying because your character cant heal his/her self. It happens to all of us, MULTIPLE times per playing session. And im talking 3-4 people here (only people i really talk to on FF14 personally) have always had this problem, and it can be really pathetic when youre looking at your character with 40% hp and just know youre going to die because of the "healing bug".

you said you don't put it in your bar? if its not in your bar somewhere then the macro won't work... >_> the spell or action is only usable if placed on your action bar... hope this helped!

Indeed. If its not equipped it won't work at all. Actually, if it does work sometimes then working like this (using unequipped actions with macro) is actually the bug.

by saying i dont put them on my bar, i meant that i put them on bar 3, i thought that was pretty obvious.
it is tedious to press a heal then enter when you can just use a macro to cast on yourself, but the macro often bugs out and wont heal you at all.

the system message will constantly say readying sacrifice II, but do absolutely nothing, then you die. i believe its caused by clicking too quickly. a bug none the less.

I dunno, I've yet to have this problem. I use a macro for healing, something like this:
/ac "Cure" <st> (Then I press the F-key I want to target and hit Enter)

After I get my team gathered around me, I also use:
/aoe on
/ac "Protect" <me>
/aoe off

BTW, what does your macro say? /ac "Sacrifice II" <me> ?

But i assure you i have this bug, it has nothing to do with the recast time or the hp cost, it comes from me clicking too fast after using other spells and such.
