Installation issues

I run Windows 7 Professional.

I go to install the game I select my language and then the game asks me for Windows Vista Service pack 2. SO here are my questions:

A: How do I get around this?

B: Why do I need Vista Service Pack 2 on Windows 7?

C: If the Service pack IS needed then where do I get it? and will it install properly on Windows 7?


Everytime I go to install it gives me this message. So maybe someone can give me a hand here?

Issue:
Please install windows vista service pack 2 before proceeding.

Fix:
1. Browse to the DVD in Windows Explorer
2. Right click ffxivsetup.exe and click Properties
3. On the Compatibility tab, uncheck "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" (if you can't uncheck it, you probably need to click "Change settings for all users" at the bottom of the same dialog)
4. Reinstall normally

Alright I right click and go to properties and it doesn't give me the Compatibility option. So Going to need another work around.

I figured it out there's an option that says "Troubleshoot Compatibility." That auto sets it after going through a few options.
