Expansion Question

I'm not sure why you would think you would get both when you only buy one. They are two completely separate platforms. I don't know of any game that when I bought it for PC I automatically got a PS2/3/4 version for free (or vice versa).

Only reason I could see just having to buy one copy of the expansion is because we don't know how it would work if you are in an expansion zone..with the expansion job weapon equipped, with the expansion race. And you log out..what will it do with your character, or will you just not be able to play on the game that you bought on the other console? Seems kind of an extreme situation to not be allowed to play a game that you purchases all because you didn't upgrade to the expansion. What MMO keeps you from playing a game if you didn't buy the expansion. Not many that I've seen

I play on 2 systems cause sometimes I don't want to sit at my computer to play. Like when I'm doing random things such as crafting. When I raid I play on my pc. And I can play on my vita anywhere.

I have both because my ps4 is infinitely more portable then my pc.

Plenty of reasons to have it on both. I mostly play on ps4 since it handles the game better than my pc. I can play on ps4 and use my pc for other stuff at the same time. But if im playing a different game on ps4 then i can log in and play on my pc. Like today im playing dragon age on my ps4 but have ffxiv going on my pc to feed my chocobo, fertilize my garden and get unspoiled nodes when its time. Pretty convenient.
