Wish there was an easier way to accumulate gil!

You have an i110 crafted HQ ring with Penta-melded materia and even final coil gear. The ring could have been done without and a more 'practical' use of your gil could have been put towards a relic, or something else you needed.

You can make a Second coil group that sells runs to other players, maybe people you raid with so you can get gil for something you're already good at. There are many things you can do without having well geared crafting classes. My best is only a 2 star leatherworker, and I don't even craft 90% of the time.

If you want a sure way of making gil, though it might be a bit time consuming/need 'some' gil put into it at first (Spend money to make money, right?) Get Miner and/or botanist to 50, and get their gathering stats high enough to get the elemental clusters, since everyone needs those out the wazoo for all the good end game crafting (Can gather up to 15 at a time with proper skills). Plus if you level up your gathering classes, you can go gather a lot of materials yourself and not have to 'worry/overact' at not having the items due to 'very little gil'.

There's also the fact that you 'can' dig up a map every 18 hours, which if you get just the boarskin/peiste maps they can go between 18k-45k depending on their demand/time of the day, and if you do those maps yourself you can get an Unhidden map which on my server (Cerberus btw) they go for 350k+ gil.

My own pocket goes from as high as around like... 2.5m? To as low as 20k, depending on what I'm buying/working towards/helping FC members with.

No, they're fair/reasonable. What it just sounds like is that you don't want to put any effort into it and want it kind of handed to you. Not trying to be mean, but this is how it comes off to me. (Remember, you didn't 'need' that ring, you wanted it. Many players can do coil without any crafted gear)

A friend made the ring and gave it to me, so I did not buy it. I believe in putting the effort but the difficulty level to get it should be easier. I have a botanist leveled and have tried to sell stuff people have told me to sell but nothing has happened.

So do you have your botanist at high enough level and gathered Elemental Clusters? You know, the ones you can only get from Unspoiled Nodes a few times every 72 minutes. You do need high enough gathering, and here's something that tells you when they appear - http://www.ffxivclock.com/#/
