Wish there was an easier way to accumulate gil!

I wish that they made it easier to get gil and increase the amount a lot. Some of us are not as good as the elitists or fortunate ones to have a bazillion gil because you sell things for outrageous prices. Its like materia for the novus, they should have a npc sell it for a certain reasonable amount of gil. It does not matter, nothing will change. Im not whining, but im complaining because thimgs are unrealistic. I have ran almost out of gil and it is hard to enjoy the game. It is like the difficulty level for things. I was enjoying leveling cook but when I got to 50 things went down hill. Yeah, I asked people if they would make things but they ignore or ask for mats and I have already told them I have very little gil.

Honestly don't have to be an elitist or "fortunate" to make alot of gil in this game. Sure gil isnt going to be handed to us, there is some work involved as it should be. You don't even need to be a crafter to make alot of gil. I used to make alot of money playing the market board. If thats not for you and your not into crafting and want to make obscene amounts of gil- go SB some gear and sell the materia. You mention unrealistic but in the real word in order to make money you have to work for it.

I strongly suggest doing some SBing and selling the gil- Materia sells very well and it sells very quick. Goodluck to you

You have an i110 crafted HQ ring with Penta-melded materia and even final coil gear. The ring could have been done without and a more 'practical' use of your gil could have been put towards a relic, or something else you needed.

You can make a Second coil group that sells runs to other players, maybe people you raid with so you can get gil for something you're already good at. There are many things you can do without having well geared crafting classes. My best is only a 2 star leatherworker, and I don't even craft 90% of the time.

If you want a sure way of making gil, though it might be a bit time consuming/need 'some' gil put into it at first (Spend money to make money, right?) Get Miner and/or botanist to 50, and get their gathering stats high enough to get the elemental clusters, since everyone needs those out the wazoo for all the good end game crafting (Can gather up to 15 at a time with proper skills). Plus if you level up your gathering classes, you can go gather a lot of materials yourself and not have to 'worry/overact' at not having the items due to 'very little gil'.

There's also the fact that you 'can' dig up a map every 18 hours, which if you get just the boarskin/peiste maps they can go between 18k-45k depending on their demand/time of the day, and if you do those maps yourself you can get an Unhidden map which on my server (Cerberus btw) they go for 350k+ gil.

My own pocket goes from as high as around like... 2.5m? To as low as 20k, depending on what I'm buying/working towards/helping FC members with.

No, they're fair/reasonable. What it just sounds like is that you don't want to put any effort into it and want it kind of handed to you. Not trying to be mean, but this is how it comes off to me. (Remember, you didn't 'need' that ring, you wanted it. Many players can do coil without any crafted gear)

Gil is difficult at first, for new players, but all the suggestions above are extremely viable methods. To be an effective crafter you just need to level all of them. Once you do that, you too can make money from "overly priced" items as you put it. But realistically, they aren't overpriced. You would want compensated for the time you spent getting to that point, the time/gil you spent to get the mats and because it's a market, a profit in general.

oh dear lord... i love the lodestone lol... you have ONE doh at 50 and ONE dol at 50... THESE ARE THE JOBS THAT MAKE MONEY!

You wanna know how easy it is? once you can HQ anything under lv.50 (i.e. lv all you crafts) with NQ mats... i spend about 150k on NQ mats and make 5 sets of Patrician's gear and Crafting accessories.

About 2 hours of spirtbonding in Urth's Font normally yields me about 1 million gil worth of materia... 150,000 gil turned into 1,000,000 gil on what is a lazy saturday morning.
