Chocobos and Companies

So since they stated that you have to get far enough into the companies to be able to get your own personal chocobo, and the Darkhold is in the questline, does that mean that you are probably going to have to have either GLA CON THM or ARC leveled to 50 to realistically be able to get one?

I know you dont NEED those jobs, but unless they change the dungeon good luck getting a party to let you come and be useless.

Getting far in the conpanies don't mean to do dungeons. Probably mean we'll need to rank up in a chosen company

I think that 40-45 is a good rank to get a personal one myself. Gives people a goal.

It means that personal chocobos will be linked to the Grand Companies. Most likely you will have to do a chain quest to acquire it and will probably not be linked to dungeons and maybe not even require seals to purchase.

I think that DoH/L will also have access to the chocobos so that's why I don't think it will be related to a dungeon.

well right now there is one quest line per company which ends in the two dungeons. so unless they add a completely new questline, right now in order to continue you would have to have beaten the darkhold quest (not Batraal himself)

actually its quite likely that the dungeons aren't part of the quest line but side quests part of companies.

It's not hard to add quests that are not linked to the previous ones. They will most likely NOT be linked and not require a dungeon because they will probably give DoH/L the right to get their personal chocobos as well.

The only reason any class would be useless, is if the player is trying to play as a role the class is not intended for.

Also, they are adding new ranks to advance to within the Grand Companies. I HIGHLY doubt the dungeons will be requirements to advance to these new ranks, and considering the chocobos will most likely require a higher rank... it will not be required to complete any dungeon to acquire these chocobos.

I'm a 50 pug and I've beaten Batraal. Every class can participate in it. Though people have those preferences because they know it can be done that way, doesn't mean its the only way however.
