It doesn't take much brainpower to extrapolate from my comment/signature combo that this doesn't go for low level roulette. In level 50 stuff, it's every man for himself.

But the fact it can be turns in for seals is using it for its intended use.That "Need" button is available so that people that would put the gear to better use than others (such as actually using it in battle rather than turning it in for seals, since everyone in the party can turn it in for seals regardless of class). Using it for a reason other than it's intended is misusing it (which is the fundamental definition of abuse).
Its not broken if your going for something specific then go as that job and need stop complaining.
It's really quite simple. The current system is sufficient with a little bit of tweaking;
- Premade parties, in, and outside, of dungeons, should have the ability to set Quartermaster (The system would need its own set of rules, such as situations for rare/ex.)
- And, the ability to pass on something that you already needed/greeded on. How many times I've instinctively just pressed Need/Greed, and by accident screwed out an FC mate, or party member. Orz... So sorry!
