i mean seriously, this is a really big issue and literally everyonme in the game is forced to run around with giant FROWN FACES because thats the only way to stop people from SPAMMING YOUR ACCOUNT WITH GOLD SPAM.

seriously, why are none of these people being banned? why is every server's economy absolute GARBAGE because half the server populations are bots from gold sellers.

DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ISSUE or im seriously going to cancel my account. like seriously, THIS SHOULD NOT BE ACCEPTABLE FOR SOMETHING I PAY MONTHLY TO ACCESS. I SHOULD EXPECT THIS GAME TO NOT HAVE THIS.

Yeah I noticed that also when I play at US/NA server last time (I start there before moved to Masamune).
But I haven't seen any yet in JAP server.

It's a bit annoying I suppose, especially the really long messages that go on for like ten lines, but you do end up just tuning it out, same way as you tune out all the dumb stuff people say on FC chat sometimes and in the regular Say chat in the busy cities.

The way it potentially screws up the economy is not good though.

Yeah, they're sure trying. Lately the RMT's are freakin' active they even tried to add me on their damn friendlist just so they can send me a "We sell Gil for xx$, have fun playin game blablabla.."by Mogry-Post, always a lv 1 ugly named character and then the whisper RMT's realy annoyin' but the later is easier to report. That's what happens to me every day on Lich.

You sure that you are serious? From what I gather it is not going anywhere. Whatever SE does to try and remedy it, they just find another way. They are trying but it seems futile. You can blame your fellow gamers just as much. If no one bought the stuff, then they wouldn't be selling. Either turn off your /tell sound, learn to ignore it as many of us have, deal with busy status,filter out /tells in the chat window or seriously throw in the towel and cancel. It won't ever go away. Unless Gil goes away.

SE is caught up in an arms race with the RMTs. There have been plenty of ideas here on the forums, but it's not something they ever seem to officially respond to (other than the usual "don't engage in RMT").

Kratier, are you pretty tied to your current server? If not, very high population servers have one very nice benefit: very little RMT spam, since it's very difficult to create new characters on them.

You expect an MMO to not have RMTs? That's a bit unrealistic, don't you think?

It's perfectly realistic to expect a well-run MMO, especially if it's a subscription required MMO, to have nowhere near the amount of RMT we're flooded with in this game. True, they'd probably never be able to eliminate it entirely, but they could eliminate enough that it didn't disrupt the game nearly so much.

But they're not doing it promptly enough to act as a deterrent. It'll stop when the accounts don't last long enough to be profitable. A more readily available and automatic reporting system (which we've been asking for since the game was released) combined with immediate real-time reaction from the GMs, would eliminate the problem.

An easier way to report RMT is definitely needed but it's a lot of extra manpower needed to immediately ban people, not to mention the fact that innocent people either joking around or getting griefed can be affected by automatic reports/bands done without any sort of investigation.
