Friend list is frozen?

Iv'e been checking my friendlist and one of my friends have been in the Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak for almost a week now and i know for sure he hasn't been on for a week straight seeing that it's someone i know in real life and they havent been playing constantly. I'm not sure what it is but he's the only one on my friend list whose having this problem.

He might have been disconnected from Totorak and never logged back in, or he did finish Totorak just before he logged out but that he logged out immediately as he left the duty. It takes a few moments for the server to register a player's location so he's indefinitely 'stuck' in Totorak according to lists (even FC and Linkshell lists show such things), even if his character is already out of the duty.

Exactly this disconnected or just logged out while in instance. Will only reset char to open world once he logs in or a maintanance happens.
