Because the sight seeing log was specifically created because people were doing this before it was added.

They don't want to limit exploration based on class. Otherwise the only classes that would be used would be Ninja and Dragoon.

Understand context please, I figured more backlash would come out of the post I made in this thread that elusive jump I've found is a non-factor, haven't had the chance to test the one exaple I was given to refute that yet. The post everyone seems to want to quote here is fact, supported by link to dev post, used to specificly refute one post stating that sightseeing is a waste of dev time when the devs themselves have shown admiration and appreciation for the players that do so.
