Shirtless armor? Or making it invisible?

I'm just level 34 Bard right now but yesterday there was a lvl 50 one in front of me all with level 50 gear, but he had no shirt on, just a necklace. I examined his gear and body showed "Demon Tabard of Aiming - South Seas Talisman", neck showed "Auroral Choker - High Allagan Choker of Casting", and his hands were "Auroral Bracers - Coronal Wristbands" which were also invisible. I can post his username if it's hard to find or something, just not sure if that's bad to do, as doing a Google search I found nothing on how to be shirtless etc. Is that just something with the type of gear he has on that it does that? The little icon for the gear shows his body armor as actual gear, not something that would indicate no shirt. Not in any rush of course but was just curious as like I said searching Google didn't show much, just people suggesting dying the clothes to match the skin tone and so on, which this guy definitely didn't have. He glamoured the South Seas Talisman on to his amor. The Talisman is literally just some necklaces and an arm tattoo.

If you go to the marketboard, you can find several items such as this and use the Try On option to get an idea of what options you'll have for glamour at lvl 50. Most items such as this are lvl 1 since the items themselves aren't what people have equipped, and they're designed to be glamoured onto any level gear (once you hit 50 with one class). So if you search the MB for your class, just lower the max item level on the search screen to 1 so it only returns that level gear and you'll see more items like this without sorting through all the regular gear between level 2 and your level. Might want to take note of the price for whatever it is you're planning to buy... the Coeurl Talisman and similar gear is not as expensive as it was when it first came out (I knew someone that paid a couple million the week it came out... it's in the 6 digit figures on my server now). If the price is way outside your means, now's a good time to start generating some gil through crafting/gathering.

Check out the emperor's gear - all lvl1 - aka the Emperor has no clothes. "Emperor's New Robe" is an invisible shirt. Get it from Tataroga in Mor Dhona or Goberin in Western Thanalan. There are other pieces.

The coronal wristbands are not invisible, its a flower on a white band on the left wrist. Its also L 1.

An important note for buying the "Emperor's New Gear": it's not available from the vendor until you've done the Lv15 crafter quest (in either Vesper Bay or Mor Dhona following on from the main glamour unlock quest) that teaches you how to make glamour prisms. This might be an oversight, as the quest also unlocks purchasing the crafting instruction books.

You can buy them from the marketboard, but they're likely to be at a markup.

As well as the invisible clothes, they also sell jewellery and a "bare-fisted" monk weapon.

And there's one more invisible gear piece - a shield - but it doesn't come from the glamour vendors. There are two options: a Lv1 version from the Gold Saucer (from the prize exchange for "Makai" gear) and a Lv60 version from PVP (from the "disreputable priest" near the Wolves' Den aetheryte plaza - the same Makai gear but dyeable and intended to be used as real equipment, at one point anyway).
