chocobo racing

since i cant read or understand anything in the video yoshi says was wondering if there was gonna be obstacles on the courses to avoid to make the races more challengin less straight forward like if hit you lost stamina/speed etc ;/

kinda like ff10 with those *insert bad words here* birds n challenge where u had to get 0.0 time lol

was any info released about breeding chocobos will it require gardening etc like it is with raising your companions??

as for obstacles, kind of, there will be boost pads, and negative boost pads and power ups to obtain along the course.
I hope that means there may be other things as well.

food will be able to be gardened and bought with golden saucer points.

at first we will only be able to breed with cpu chocos, but later we will be able to breed with other players. thats after you retire
your chocobo from racing tho.

They mentioned something about classes though and being unable to race in lower classes after your choco enters a new class.
I hope that doesnt mean you cant race friends in lower classes though, that would be a shame.

tyvm for the info much appreciated :3 spent hours breeding in ff7 for the golden choco lets hope its not as gruesome as that was lol and yeah hope theres obstacles in the course aswell need to make higher class races a challenge :P

and yay finally a reason to garden again since i havent touched my garden since i got my desired chocobos colour lol

yeah saw the racing video thats 1 of the reasons i asked since the track was empty n i cant understand japanese so no idea what yoshi was saying :P no everything gets included in the english part i assume XD

Not with CPU chocos. A player can get multiple racing chocobos. Once their racing rank is high enough they can use for breeding. At the start you can only breed with our own chocobos, later with other players chocobo.

so i assume you can get the best chocos breeding with your own aswell as with other players chocos? if not i can see people charging alot of gil to breed with a godly choco etc lmao ;/

or you can breed with chocobs made available in exchange for Manderville Gold Saucer points.
