New housing area in Heavensward?

Howdy!

I recently have worked up ten million gil, after having saved up for quite some time now. I plan to buy a 7.5 mil plot in the Goblet, but then it hit me; what if Heavensward releases a cooler housing area! Perhaps a snowy village on top of a mountain, or something like that.

Anyways, if new housing area(s) are planned in the Heavensward expansion, I'd like to continue saving up my gil and possibly purchase a mansion in the new area. However, if not, I'll just buy the medium goblet house.

Has there been any mention of a new housing area that I haven't heard?

they said they will not be implementing it at launch.

They told that this area is an area of war agains ?dragons?... Bad place to live - no housing.

Actually back in like 2.2 they said we may be able to live in ishgard eventually. Let me see if i cant dig up the post!





Q23: In the expansion we will be going to Ishgard, but will you be implementing housing areas in Ishgard as well?

A23: The war between humans and dragons is still being fought in Ishgard and it’s not really a safe place to live, so we will not be implementing housing areas at the beginning of the expansion. While we may implement it at some point in the 3.0 series, we aren’t at the point where we can promise any kind of time frame.
