I'm sure people are talking about the areas with mobs that are level 45 and higher, the beast tribe areas being the common spots of the complaints.

Agree. I get the idea that you shouldn't be able to just run around the world as if the monsters don't exist. But Heavy doesn't actually put you in any danger, it's just annoying. So either let the monsters do something to you that's actually meaningful (maybe bind, or knock you off your mount), or take it out entirely. Not this in-between.

Personally I can understand why it's there below max level but it doesn't serve much purpose after you get to max. The monsters don't pose any threat anyways and in most cases you'll still ignore them anyways because of that.

Except it's going to be annoying no matter how you slice it. Knocked off the mount? Great now I have to fight or run far enough before I can ride again. Bind? Joy, now I'm stuck for a while. The only reason they're annoying is we can curb stomp them with ilvl130 gear, but don't want to be bothered with them. Yet because we're still within range of being aggroed due to the character level difference, we still get attacked.

Yeah, but at least forcing you to fight the mobs would be something. The current solution is "I can still run past everybody without having to pay attention or do anything-- just not quite as fast."

Eh. I think overall it's a minor annoyance. Not anything incredibly game breaking. Here is what happened to you. Now make adjustments so that it doesn't happen again (or less likely to)

i think the better plan is not let level 40 trash think it can stand even a remote chance against you
seriously, i can nearly 2 shot these things as a fucking tank, they should be cowering in fear like all the other mobs

do you want to take half an hour to go from one end of the sylphlands to the other? becuase thats how long it would take if you stopped to kill literally everything
and it would spawn back in half that time

Forcing to fight these mobs when I clearly outmatch them is just a waste of time. If I don't want to fight them, then I shouldn't be forced to deal with a leeroy kobold. RPGs in general let you skip fights you can curbstomp by reducing the encounter rate and it works similarly here; outlevel the mobs? They'll ignore you. I gain absolutely nothing from fighting weak mobs. Why do I need to be forced to fight them? So their feelings don't get hurt? So that the battle programmer can sleep at night?

Right. You're clearly arguing with someone, but I don't think it's me... I'm fine with skipping those mobs entirely. My point is the game should either make us fight them, or let us skip them. Heavy doesn't prevent you from skipping them, it just makes it more annoying.

SE should put a damage debuff that stacks with each monster that hits you. The debuff increases damage inflicted upon you with each stack. Not all hits may inflict a stack, it would have the same frequency the heavy status does.

That way area monsters are better respected when we enter their territories and even iLV130s can get in serious trouble if they loaf around.
