    Elezen Hair

    Race: Elezen
    Gender: Male
    Style: 6

Whenever walking, running, or movement that makes the hair animations triggers, It looks unrealistic on the back near the neck. It move like jello and is all over the place; i understand hair can move when running and wind blowing, but it almost look like it being yanked around. If it wasn't for for head ware it would annoy me all the time, but some head ware i like to hide with /display off option. Sometime even with head gear like Silver Tricorne the same pieces of hair move like crazy. Anyway of redoing or removing it? Unless i can re-pick my hair style with out restarting new character.

Hair is affected by the /physics option. Perhaps try turning it off?

I think you may be in the wrong forum, lol...

This is "Localization," as in "Translating game text from native Japanese to English." I think hair appears in all versions, so an issue with its ridiculous motion might better be serviced in "Game Bugs."

If it's any consolation, my weapon sticks right through my hat at all times.

Yeah sorry bout that had some odd problem posting not sure how i went to wrong location, especially trying to post something keep saying i need to log in when i already been logged in.

Yeah i have weapons the does that sometime also but lest it doesn't look as bizarre while running, while the hair just goes flinging around, even when have Tricone on it shouldn't be moving as hat tend to hold hair down lol

    Greetings, Zel!
Thank you for posting your concerns about the hair physics of your character. In order to make sure that we have sufficient information to conduct a thorough investigation, it would be a great help to us if you could provide the following details:

    Platform:
Specify which version of Windows was in use to play the game. Also, any other details you can provide regarding your PC specifications.

    ISP:
Name of ISP you use to connect to the Internet.

    Type of Internet Connection:
Specify the type of connection. (dial-up, DSL, CATV, Optic Fiber, Other)

    Internet Connection Speed:
Specify the speed of internet connection. (Example: 768Kbit/s, 5Mbit/s)

    Thanks again for your participation!

I'm sorry Baccanale, but none of that is relevant and I have no idea why you'd even ask about his connection and ISP. Instead you could make a character with the specifications the OP gave you and look at the hair yourself.

They ask for the information because they can't file the bug report with the dev team without it? Because its SOP for any Q/A procedure in a large company, or a company with multiple offices? Because you never know just what the real problem is?

As someone who has been a tech for many years, I can attest to the need for it - even though sometimes it seems stupid (and sometimes IS stupid). At the very minimum it is because by getting all the information they cover their back sides. In a best case scenario they uncover some hidden bug or really off-the-wall problem with the information that we think is useless. Either way, it is due diligence. If you must complain about the process, I suggest poking at SE people who set the policies, not the Mods that are trying to help us out, but must follow the rules in order to keep their jobs.

It almost surely is stupid this time. He may almost as well have asked when he last ordered pizza.

Pointless bureaucracy is one of the most infuriating things in this world, company policy or not. It does not produce any value for anyone yet costs time and effort for no reason. I'm sure the devs, who are (hopefully) human, are able to process normal text without the need for rows of pointless data. Surely the community staff is capable of creating characters within the game and are also perfectly capable of testing this themselves, evaluating if the hair is indeed overly animated, and forwarding the feedback. This is extremely unlikely to even be an actual bug.
