Lets Talk: The two un-named Citystates to the North...

Is anyone else curious as what the other two city states in the North are?
Theres one to the West of Ishgard and one to the East almost parallel with Gridania, having not played 1.0 I'm not sure if they've named in the past or not.

Is the one to the East Ala Mhigo? And the one to the West the Dravanian capital?

This has been on my mind for a while and as we draw nearer to Havensward I've been wondering if these are two new citystates for us to explore along with the confirmed Ishgard.

I think you're talking about Xelphatol (east of ishhgard)- land of the ixal

Then there's dravania (west) land of dravania/dragon

The one up at the far north west is Sharlayan

The eastern one is indeed Ala Mhigo. The western one that lies in the heart of Dravania was the Sharlayan colony but it was abandoned when Ala Mhigo fell to the Garleans.

Ah thanks guys, I love the lore of XIV so getting to know these things is nice

Still begs the question, will we be getting to see these places in-game with the new expansion pack o_0 I'm hoping so because as much as I'm looking forward to Ishgard I find the whole religous fanaticism surrounding the place a little bit of a downer myself, so I'm hoping a few more cities or something like that.

I think all places of Eorzean map will be implemented in Heavensward or max in next after that expansion, later simply we got another map with other Hydelyn region cause devs simply run out of places in Eorzea in, as i say, one or two expansions.

First expansion is Ishgard, the north-west (dravania) and the sky. Nothing said about the north-east (xephatol, ala mhigo) yet; you might guess it would be in expansion #2 a couple years later, unless the first expansion covers more ground than they have let us know so far. If you kept going north-east past ala mhigo you would cross a bridge over to the continent to where the Garlean Empire is based, and further east somewhere is another continent under Garlean occupation where Doma is located (ninjas).

Reason I wonder about the two other cities is that I read sometime ago that Yoshi wants as much content in the expansion as they was in the relaunch (ARR), since we have three city states at launch and now Ishgard comfirmed it makes me wonder if he's planning to fleshout the other two cities/settlements that are clearly visable on the map afterall they've been visable since 2.0.

If I can find the article were he says he wants as much content as launch I'll re-post it, but I've had to rebuild my PC since 2.0 came out [yay for fatal hardware failure huh] and I lost all my bookmarks from web pages :/

Also makes me wonder about Jobs as well, we have three confirmed does that mean he's keeping one or two more up his sleeves for an annoucement soon... given how we're getting close to launch (couple months) the info we have seems a little thin on the ground so I'm hoping he's gonna drop an info-bombshell soon

Well since Dravania is confirmed for 3.0 we will likely get into Sharlayan as well.
