Why Speed Pulls?

I've seen dd pull for tanks and sometimes the tank doesn't pull it off them, let's them die and moves on. If the healer heals this person, well you have a problem then.

When I'm on my tank I generally speed pull, but that's if notice the PT I'm in is full 50s in a low level dungeon. If you have 50s in a low level dungeon, you just know - know they aren't there for the exp. lol That's when I start speeding but if It's like a group of people who are at the same range of the dungeon I'm going to relax and go slow. Clear the whole dungeon for them. They waited hours for it, so may as well give them the exp slow-bro run.

As for being with a PT in a high level dungeon. If your in a duty roulette expert - expect to speed. Most people want poetics and go out the door zoom zoom. lol
If it's anything else, do what you want. Your the tank, you call the shots essentially.

You clearly have followed the whole topic, and for that I applaud you. You don't seem to be able to make the difference between trying to settle a friendly deal with whoever is harassing me to make big pulls when I don't want to necessarily make it THAT BIG. You know the point you missed? It's the point where I said I actually pull at a good pace, but that isn't the problem. The problem is people literally asking [telling] me to go from the beginning of the instance to the first boss, in many instances, this many trash mobs is simply annoying to deal with.

i usually don't speed run, but play a normal paced, sometimes the other member insulting me of course and this is not a problem for me, no one die, so i feel well with myself..bu many other sometimes kick me..

And that right there pretty much sums up the whole problem. It isn't about pulling individual pulls but rather going at a pretty decent pace, yet people come in, harassing the tank, without even asking for their opinion about pulling everything at once. Really, if you wanted to do it, queue with a tank friend who will do it or tank it yourself. Problem Solved.

There will be people who actually understands what I am talking about, and then, there will be people who actually don't even understand what I am talking about. This has to be one of those comments. There is a difference between speed pulling and MEGA SPEED PULLING. If they don't know or can't see the difference, then call me out about it, they are the kinds that don't even take 2 seconds before jumping to the conclusion that I am "crying" about not wanting to speed pull before even reading anything that's being said.

Glad to be making you laugh. Honestly I am more surprised that it is attracting this much attention. This must mean I hit a very soft spot in most of the people here, that is what is funny, because it isn't even something that serious.

If you are pulling at a decent pace meaning it's not the whole floor but still quick enough I don't really see a problem with that. I have seen tank that pull the whole floor/area and we end up wiping due to various reasons, which waste more time since your buff are all on CD now. You really do not have to pull every single thing for a speed run, speed pulling works the same as well and safer considering you do not know the skills of the players you are with.

And yet, that is exactly what I am "crying" about. Oh, and that harassers are "crying" about. I don't always feel like speed pulling, but if the whole groups wants me to speed pull? Fine by me, however I always keep a good pace but I won't pull the "whole floor". The problem isn't people who are asking me to take this trash pull to the next trash pull, it's those people who don't even consider asking before going. I have mentioned it before, there are players who will simply go and pull the next trash without even asking for your opinion even if you were about to start picking up the pace.

But hey, I get the point, I am a selfish **** who is literally "forcing" others into a slow run (clearly). For any future readers, know that the topic has fleshed out, and while I may not be the best at expressing what I want to express, insulting me won't stop me from crying about the real problem. If you think I am selfish because I am tired of seeing people try to impose their "Speed Running" pulls onto me I don't see why they wouldn't be any worse than me...except that I never actually went "WELP I WONT SPEED PULL CAUSE YOU ARE A ****" If it ever goes to the point of needing to deal with it like needing to deal with highschool drama I will simply leave and let them find a better tank who will speed pull better than me.
