Relic quest Vs. Future Weapons?

The Devs did say that the relic weapons will be upgradable throughout the levelling 50-60 and stated that it will have its place just like your Relic and Relic+1 did early endgame.

I do wonder though.....do they mean u NEED current relic for post expansion relic?

Relics are super useful when a new raid comes along. Also useful if u have terrible luck with raid weapons. Augmented weapons will always be more than good enough, but is that good enough for you? Will you be happy using augmented crep when u could have 135 relic? All boils down to that I guess.

TLDR
Yes, get your relic done.
Unless you are farming final coil everything else is just so/so compared to a personaly tailored relic. And once you get it caught up upgrading it to be current to each new patch isnt that bad.
need less lights now, atma easier, spiritbonding easy. no reason not to.

I want to believe Relic +6, bc if they fast track it at xpac time, I and everyone else who took the grind to heart (2% atma farming fml, books for 1200 myth >X) will feel duped.

ur already duped mate. I spent 18 hours searching for east shroud atma back in the day. Recently done full nin atma in a few hours. Animus book? np do 4 akhm. Alexandrite? np u get one from seals for killing 5 A ranks ( not to mention the ones u find between A ranks from fates with boosted drop rate ). Nexus nerf was extreme. I really burnt out on original nexus, but was walk in the park when I done it post nerf.

Best advice is try to feel like relic is worth it for the use you make of it right now. Everything in FF becomes useless, eventually. I don't see why relics can't fall into this category also.

I did feel a little duped when atma/light/alex drops were increased, but I wouldn't of waited had I known, it was awesome having a 44 crit/ 25 det/ 6 acc Bravura at my disposal when novus was BIS.

I hope they just make the drop rate one and done so new players and old people coming back can catche up. all the lore and none of the hasle. pluse 60gear will make all pre expansion useless or sub par. thats just how mmos tend to work
