extreme flickering/shimmering

so i just purchased the game and can't seem to fix the issue presented in the title. when i move my character vegetation starts to flicker like crazy. i'm using an r9 270x and tried adjusting things with radeon pro and amd catalyst but nothing seems to fix it. turning off antialiasing reduces it a bit, but not by much. i would like some advice on how to fix this, i've seen a few topics regarding this issue but couldn't find any solutions.

I have the same exact problem on PS4 with a a new Samsung 240hz TV. I've given up on trying to find a solution.... Tried every possible solution google brings up and no help from Samsung or Sony. I sadly just cancelled my FFXIV subscription which was set to renew in 3 days as I'm moving on. This issue has rendered the game unplayable for me and there appears to be absolutely no solution on PS4. At least with PC I've read of people being able to correct this through various GC settings.

I wish you the best of luck and if you haven't yet, try google or asking peeps in forums for your GC. As for me, I've been enjoying playing other PS4 titles I've neglected since getting my PS4 (and FFXIV along with it). Kind of not missing it as much as I expected...

yeah, i was using a vga cable with dvi adapter on my old monitor with lower resolution. i just purchased a new monitor but nothing has changed unfortunately. using hdmi instead of dvi makes things even worse, absolutely unplayable like that. this topic being ignored/not adressed usually seems to imply that there really is no fix and we just have to deal with it, unless we're using nvidia cards.
