[Au Ra] Character Customization Request, please? You can do it Yoshi-P!

I've been reading all the responses to the new race announcement... there are two camps: ones who love how clean & pretty they are & ones who'd hoped or who wish they were more reptilian/monster-like.

My request is simple: please both parties by implementing a "scaly skin" option.

I think this would satisfy virtually everyone TREMENDOUSLY & be a great example of Good Form (Peter Pan geek here) for the company!

Ones who like the clean/pretty look will remain happy with them as they are & the ones who want a more reptilian look now have that option.

It doesn't have to be the entire body, it could be from those thick armor-like scale shoulder parts up if anything. If you're worried about the development time & rendering/processing, that much would suffice.

It can even be very subtle if that'd make it easier on you, doesn't have to bump off the skin, can be drawn to appear like it does without requiring additional data/rendering (so long as it exists!) However...

...if you wanted to go "all out" you could even go so far as to create a "thin" or "thick" scaled option (similar to light or heavy face-paints) so people could make it more prominent if they wished.


Please Dev's (Bayohne, Camate, Grekumah), Yoshi-P, if there's any Character Customization Suggestion of mine you heed, let it be this one! And while there's still time!!

The best way to implement it imho is to make it a button like this (see below) under "face" so every face has this as an option & so that it doesn't prevent the use of other facial features.

It can be like how some Miqo'te female faces have marks and others don't, though if I remember correctly most of the faces did...and all the males have marks on their faces.

Is Yoshi doing the reverse now with Au Ra?

You max out the scaly skin slider on your Au Ra just like you max out the tail length slider on your Miqo'te and bust slider on Roegadyn.

On topic, I like the option of a scaly skin slider or toggle, that way everyone can be happy and have a very diverse race to boot.

And like i posted in another thread, can we have more saturated skin color options. I want to make maybe red-skinned or blue-skinned or even shiny black-skinned scales or something. I mean, even though its not my game or my creation...how can you have a fantasy game without blue or red colored people?! lol.
