I think Titan will be the likely candidate for the next Primal fight followed by Garuda and/or Leviathan.
I know it's been done in XI, but I'd love to see an Alexander fight in XIV.

lots of fun ideas. And although I insist summoner becomes a class, To add some mystique to the game however, I hope eventually some primals will be amazingly awesome, and yet impossible. to ever. obtain. Alexander from FFIX comes to mind.
I have been playing XII recently, and been wondering if they will be playing the same thing on this. The normal summons were airships for the evil judges, and we had to get other summons. Maybe all the normal summons are bad guys this time and we get summons of our own to counteract them and defeat them?

I'd prefer to see Garuda, man. We're overdue for some green T&A fanservice.
And Xmbei, we already saw Ifrit as a summon in FFXIV, so the other summons from FFXI will definitely be making an appearance in XIV.
Ah, but those summons for Garuda and Ifrit as currently seen in FFXIV are for the beastmen! So perhaps as humans influenced by Echo, our characters can't summon the same ones! It hasn't been confirmed at all that us Echo users can summon Ifrit or Garuda, but only that we can summon through crystals.
Not to mention that, being a game made from the FFXII department, it would be more likely that new summons will be made, and the original summons perhaps some god-like diety that we puny players can't summon.
We'll just have to wait and see.
Yes but the primal are beastman gods we have 12gods that we don't even know who there are. Not if SE make it so one of the primal give us powers and the gods are not real and it just something made up by the races to believe in something lol.It could actually be Siren on the cover.
1. Siren and Echo are forms of sound so maybe Siren is our Primal that gave us the gift of the Echo.
2. Siren had wings on her head in FF8 and FF13.
3. If you look up "Siren", they were known as fish-women, or bird-women monsters which could explain the fish tail like hair and the wings on the head on the Collectors Edition box cover.
4. Garuda is the Primal of the Ixali. I doubt she'd give us her blessing of the Echo.
5. Faint singing in the intro during the cutscenes. (Could be her or could just be the music lol)

I was going for what whoop said. I fully well know that the normal summons are in the game, lol . I was saying that maybe they aren't for us to summon and we will have our own set just like 12 where it had a new set of summons that we control.

Tanaka did say you be allow to summon them but you have to do a chain of hard quest to unlock there powers. in the story-line we did make a pack with ifrit and he said we not allow to talk to the others.
but who knows what yoshi-p would doi just hope that idea still stay around the dev and go with it.

Spoilers
Alexander is probably the Primal that the Garleans are currently trying to summon. Makes the most sense, what with their affinity for technology. Wouldn't be surprised if they pull an FFXI, and the spirit of the Alexander avatar infuses himself with a Garlean construct - either willingly or unwillingly - to fight for them.
I would be thinking more of Doomtrain or some other technology structure which is associated with power or evil like that. Alexander is infused and related to holy, and I can't see the Garleans using light as a weapon. o.oSpoilers
