    Housing market value & insane prices?

    Oki i've been with this game since day 1 (1.0) and so on,
    but since the release of FC & personal housing, the market value havent changed one bit.

    Prices haven increased or decreased at all, and now several housing zones have multiple houses up for sale, more or less same insanly high value as when it was first released.

    Could you please do somethign about this Dev Team?

    Im pretty sure many of us thats still playing long for our own personal house for a reasonable price, unlike 30-40mil.

    It's no wonder houses now on Masamune stands empty ready to be sold to no one because we spend gil on stupid relic weapons that are no better than they were a few patches ago.

    I'd like to buy a house please, but what you are asking is unreasonable, even for a legacy server, our vast amount of gil we obtained playing since 1.0 dosent last for this long. (Nothing here is worth much anymore)

    How about during free-login campaign, giving us still playing a chance of buying houses at reduced prices?
    Empty houses / plots do no paying customer good.

    I'm not sure what the prices are on legacy servers, but small houses are definately affordable for anyone that has been playing that long. Medium houses for everyone that has, and really wants a house. You mention 30-40m, but what size is the house? And is it with our without the reduction in price from not being sold for x months?

    Altho again, if you have been playing since 1.0 and you want a house badly enough to make a post about it, you should have had no problem saving up for one, in my opinion.



    Besides, on legacy servers isnt lack of available plots more of an issue then the actual price tag attached to said plots..?

    Maybe she indeed "should have" been able to save enough for a house, many of us have, but I would never ever be against ANY reduction...errrr why would anyone?

    Its just my opinion but housing in its current state, is not a status symbol , I think nothing more of anyone/fc that has large then anyone who has a small...but I do feel bad for those that cant get one due to cost OR availability. Im far more concerned about improving it overall, for everyone. The "perks"and limiting design don't justify the costs at present.

    I would alwayssss support a reduction in cost. The more players that can afford it...the better, if I upgrade one day I too would love not to have to pay 40+ million for a large home O.o

    Id rather more be happy then less. The availability is indeed an issue on many servers that really needs to be eliminated asap by SE!!

    SE does have a tendency to over price many things, considering housing is a tad lackluster then it could have been.... if they reduced costs I think that would be great for anyone now trying to get one and for any us to upgrade one day.

    Wait, you're talking about how prices haven't changed since day 1.. But you've been playing since day 1.
    That's gotta be at least 2 years, I don't know exactly when that is since I just started in December.

    As you play the game, shouldn't your wealth be increasing, thus decreasing the strain of large purchases?
    When you first started, I'm sure you were cautious about teleporting, buying full stack of gysahl greens etc. Hell I remember when I first started, I'd save up every little thing and vendor is for 2,3 gil a piece but now I just throw them away sometimes I'll even throw away allagan pieces if I don't feel like going to a vendor.. That's how you should be progressing.. If you can't afford a personal cottage for 2m,3m, or maybe even 5million gil.. and you've been playing this since 1.0??

    If anything, housing prices should be INCREASING because there's more money in the server.. I'll never understand people who say that relic weapons are such a huge gil sink.. Come on, it requires 2 tier III freaking materia, what have you been doing with all your gear as you leveled up?

    The problem is, more can't get it anyway. Because plot (un)availability. Because server/hardware limitations. Because they wanted this neighbourhood feel to it and just went ahead with it, despite being aware of the disadvantages. And expecting the backlash.

    Sure if you don't mind it having minuscule bonuses to all the random stats, you can fill it up with tier I-II materia perhaps all the way. Go the proper route however, and it requires much more than 2 tier IIIs, and then the tier IVs as well. Both of which are awful RNG even if you craft and spiritbond everything by hand yourself.

    I cant speak for economy on other servers especially non-legacy servers, except maybe one.

    I'll give an example how much diffrence there is on server prices.

    Masamune (Legacy Server): Tonberry Minion - 990 gil (2015.03.11) vs X (Eu Server) - 60.000 - 90.000 gil. (Im not gonna reveal that EU server because of personal reasons)

    So yeah i know how to make money no matter the cost, but as you can see...
    whats not worth crap on my server is worth hell of alot more on other servers.

    So as you can see, like i said earlier...there isnt many items worth enough time &
    gil spent to save up for a overpriced house thats been empty for several months.
    So inflation / Deflation isnt doing dramtic changes on this server.

    For every new patch prices on X items increase insanely for a few days & few days later, its back to normal price again.

    This is why i think something has to be done about the housing prices thats
    barely moves at all thanks to being controlled by SE and not the actual player itself.

    We can't actually see that because you gave one item as an example. Hardly representative of your server's economy. Surely there are methods of making gil on your server.
