They'll probably require the user to manually register each piece manually, requiring the player to purchase the required glamour prism each time. Hopefully they'll be merciful and let us register each equipment piece with neutral glamour prisms, as opposed to requiring the craft specific prisms.

I do hope, however, that they add some sort of checkmark icon to indicate what we already have registers in the Glamour Log, so we don't lot on items we already have and/or want.

I also hope that there's some sort of incentive to complete sets (including belts), like gaining the option to dye the dungeon gear once the complete set is registered. Could be interesting.

With the issues of inventory space and the data size on the servers, I'm surprised this still hasn't been done yet.

Then again, knowing how SE loves to overcomplicate the simplest of things, I'd be worried if they announced to do something like this.

First of, I completely agree with this. About the data size though, the glamour log would be an increase in required save data space. While it is true people would then not store pieces for glamour purposes, they'd still have the same inventory space, which they would fill with something else. So they would still need to save full inventories, PLUS whatever people have in their glamour log, even if that can be saved more feasibly. The inn room armoury in it's present state works largely on the same principle, save space wise, as the suggested glamour log, only remembering if the person has said gear or not, without saving such details as repair level or soul bind level. And yet they need to limit what can be put there to bare minimum.

If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.

It would be nice to have more room on my retainers with a feature like this ^^.

That's actually the best ideas about glamour system i ever heard! Hope developers take note from that and really make a glamour book and include all relic glamours...

I'm hoping they touch on this issue in the next live letter (even if it's just a "We are aware of the issue. We're working on it. Please look forward to it" bit of info).

Parading dungeon and outfit concept art around is nice, I'm sure they worked very hard on these concepts, and there certainly is that audience that only cares about pretties and shinies. However, some insight in how they plan on improving the systems and interface, through which we actually play the game would be also nice. While the glamour system technically does work, it is incredibly more cumbersome and convoluted than it should be. I do hope they implement a more effective solution sooner, rather than later.

So now that they're through parading around outfit and concept art, where do they expect us to keep it all of these new shinies? Some insight on how they plan to resolve this potential issue would be much appreciated.

This sounds like a good idea, as I enjoy glamorizing my outfits.

But... what would this do to the materia markets? Or the armor market for that matter?

Because currently, you are faced with a few choices:
    - Keep your armor piece for glamour
    - Convert your armor piece into materia
    - Sell off the gear on the marketboard
    - Sell off the gear onto an NPC vendor

This opportunity cost forces you to keep your armor if you want to glamorize over something, preventing more supply of materia from entering the market. As well as stop players from having inflated gil purses.

So if the idea is implemented (as you can get rid of the gear once you've documented it in your gear log), what would stop players from immediately removing it from their inventories via selling it to an NPC, selling on the market board, adding it onto their better gear for materia, or selling materia on market board?

This will disrupt not only the market prices, but also the average amount of gil everyone carries will be higher. This idea can have widespread impacts on the game beyond just more convenient glamour.
