Duty Finder & Chocobo

I m new to the game (33 lvl Black Mage) and i noticed when i use my Chocobo i cant queue in Duty Finder.
Queues some time takes up to an hour, so in the meanwhile you are forced to play without your Chocobo while questing. Is this something that offers anything to the game play? I find it rather annoying.
Choco's aren't real players so why not having with you as long as you wait for a queue to pop? Anyway they are not going to enter instance with you.
I hope this restriction to lift sometime. In the expansion maybe?

Agreed, one of the most annoying things in the game, especially when you queue so long you've forgotten about it and call your chocobo only to be kicked from the queue...

at least 2.5 is fixing this with a "are you sure?" box

There is no point having only "are you sure?" option. Queue while you have summoned your Chocobo is the only way

This question was asked during one of the live letters, but it was misunderstood. Yoshi P thought the questioner wanted to do a dungeon with his chocobo. While that might be nice someday if level sync restrictions are removed, it wasn't what was being asked for.

When I was leveling NIN the melee dps queue times were absolutely out of this world (hours.. several of them). If at any time during that I summoned my chocobo because I'd frankly forgotten I was in a queue, I was booted. That was awful. I want to be able to level my chocobo while I'm in a queue. Then when the queue pops the game should either dismiss my chocobo or just temporarily remove him from the party and then put him back when I'm out of the dungeon.

I have made this mistake so many times... usually with chocobo but sometimes with parties for hunts, fates, treasure maps, etc..
