Except they've actually state that they want to, but are saddled with UI limitations as the reason they can't.

Why not just put a bar under the MP bar? Is that really difficult?

Instead of adding more items to the UI why not program it around the class on what does/doesn't display.
For instance, as a Ninja I couldn't care less about how much MP you have, it's completely out of my hands, there's nothing I can do about it. So why not just program the class so that someones TP bar shows up instead of their MP bar. Same with other classes that can help manage TP/MP. Or is that too much of a pipe dream?
If party TP information is already sent to each client, then the only reason to not display the information is design laziness. This was the case in FFXI where it took a third party application to take advantage of the information already available to each client and display it in a custom UI.
If they are concerned about creating a confusing UI, then provide the option to leave it like it is now or to turn on TP display. Default would be like it is now so no worry upsetting the tender sensibilities of new players.
If the TP information is not arleady available to the client, this would be a bigger design issue.
So, they don't want to confuse new players, then they confuse new BRD / NIN players on exactly when they can use their TP recovery skills. Ok....

If they can't fit all three, I wish they'd let us select any two rather than just alternate the second between MP sometimes and TP other times. Healers need to see everyone's HP, but when I'm playing as a Bard, I'm more interested in seeing both MP and TP, so I know what to sing. I can't do much about other players' HP anyway, so would rather drop that one than one of the other two.
I mean, it is possible. See Spoiler. If they can't fit all three, I wish they'd let us select any two rather than just alternate the second between MP sometimes and TP other times. It's in a spoiler cause I forgot to remove the names. Can't do it now, Sorry!
Oh, Please note this image was not to compare DPS, but to show what TP bars looked like for my friends. Don't assume. This was a learning party, anyways.
Unfortunately, this is apart of ACT, and we all know how many people say "oh, that's cheating/harassment/etc.".
Nonetheless, I really hope they implement TP Bars. It's SUPER USEFUL AS A BARD/NINJA. Seriously.

I'd imagine that this is something that will be addressed right after we get addons enabled.
Did you see the video posted above? http://youtu.be/4M27MEETG4Y?t=9m8s ? They say nothing of the sort.
