Vent - Dungeon run today.

So ran a dungeon today for my Ex Roulette, I was on my War, and out of the blue the Ninja says "Hey, can you pass on all healer gear?"

I paused a moment in thought while speed running through mobs and once I had my pacification up and couldn't do much I replied back and said "No, I'm not going to pass on anything."

So the Ninja proceeds to insult me during the boss fight, refering to me as a d-bag, and other things because I wouldn't agree to pass on gear. Then that same ninja also decides to ignore the spears and eventually there's enough fire stacks that our BLM dies, then him and the healer.

So I point out, a bit annoyed after being both insulted and dying cause ninja was ignoring the mechanics, that the spears or w/e need to be burned down, and stated the name calling ninja didn't. Said ninja resumed to insult me, I threw out a request to vote out, it was denied.

I move on, we kill the first boss, start pulling second groups and since the Ninja continues to perform poorly and insult, I propose another boot, denied.

So I shrug it off for the sake of getting through the dungeon, and as I'm grouping up my second pull I'm kicked out lol.

I qued after with a similiar set up, speed ran, no problems, the new group and I chuckled at my plight and we finished easily without issue.

Why would anyone expect a random person to pass on loot. Let alone, why would that same person resort to insults once they found out they weren't gonna get their way. I'm assuming the three of them knew one another and I was just the unlucky tank to get them. Anyhow.. I feel better now.

Firstly, name calling and trolling the run for not getting what they want is wrong, let me ask, did you say no because you wanted healer gear? Or did you just say no because you didn't like being asked to pass.

While the nin could have at least said please, thats a pretty reasonable request if nobody else wants the gear. I've been in plenty of groups where I've checked other members gear, seen that they dont need anything as upgrades, and asked if they wouldnt mind letting me take a specific job's gear if they dont want it, and they've often said yes. Likewise, I've had people ask if they could take certain gear and I've said sure no problem I dont need it.

The nin shouldnt have acted the way they did after being told no and could have been more polite in asking, but just going from what you've said, you could have been nicer too either letting them take it or saying 'sorry, I need the healer gear too' rather than just no im not passing

Asking for others to pass is fine. Acting like a spoiled brat because somebody doesn't want to accommodate your request is a problem. He should be reported for harassment if he's being particularly insulting.

The reason is irrelevant. It could be just because he wants GC seals, glamor, his side class, etc and that's all perfectly valid. He doesn't in any way have to justify why he wants to greed on the gear at all. If that player wanted healer gear so bad he should have came as a healer. Period.

I have no problem passing if someone needs it to gear up another class myself, and sure taking the healer job would alleviate the need to ask for someone to pass, maybe he is not ilevel enough to bring that job.
