Whats the difference in needing for glamour or needing for GC Seals / Desynth?

Arguably, there is some difference. Grand company seals and desynthesis can yield materials necessary for upgrades to currently existing equipment, like the relic quests, but I personally believe it's a sort of fine line. Other people need access to that gear for the same reason, even if it's not their class. But, as I said, it's not an immediate statistical upgrade, so you don't NEED it, in so far that getting that piece of gear will benefit anyone around you. But that's just how I look at it. Other people see it differently and that's okay. I'm always amazed by the intolerance for differing opinions.

You're entitled to your opinion but no it's not RUDE to roll on an item for glamour. I do it all the time. I have every bit as much right as anyone to a particular piece of gear. It's rude to expect people to pass because you feel you are more entitled to it.

Accusing other people of entitlement and saying I said gear should be passed is completely ignorant of my statement. I didn't say anything about passing or that I am somehow entitled to the gear. But your general statement could easily be construed as the very thing you seem so set against.

If i can need, i need. If my option is to greed, i greed. Every time. The fairness is handled by rng deciding to drop something that i can need on instead of them. There's nothing rude or unfair about playing and acquiring loot within the game's parameters.

The way recent grinds have been going, I've had a perpetual need for GC seals. lol
A bunch for bombard cores for relic, a bunch to expedite moonstone collecting, a bunch for certain mats, and whatever's left is for ventures.

I need/greed every time unless a person in the party is lower geared than the dungeon's drop and specifically asks for job specific loot.

Shouldn't have been a Dbag. Most likely you don't need the Healer gear or you could have said something like "Sorry I also need healer gear".


I don't mind passing on gear, I don't need those GC seals that bad. Guess some people are just hard up for stuff. But the NIN shouldn't have been a Dbag as well by not doing his job.

The problem with being nice and rolling greed even though you can roll need is that not everyone is courteous enough to do it.

There was absolutely nothing wrong or rude about OP's response. I'd have reported the ninja for harrassment really. I can't believe some people are blaming OP over this :/

I can understand if people want to criticize OP for his word usage, because in every situation there is always a feeling you can say it better by X way.

Or usually fights break out because of a communication error.

But the fact is since the NIN went on a baby-rage mode. Wouldn't help the PT on the boss. Holding not only the tank "hostage," but the other two as well who probably agreed. But apparently the nin didn't ask them so again - They HAD to be his FRIENDS.

In short, while communication was a lacking entity here.

NIN is at fault for not being able to find one more person to add to his douche-baggery PT group-make up.

If nin wanted gear so badly that he would throw a tantrum....

Then NIN should go with a FULL Group. Not with 2 other people to help him be a douche. A Full Group.

Then may all his magical wishes come true.
