Looking for a NA Server with Active West Coast Player-Base

I wasn't sure exactly where to post this, so I chose general discussion. The title pretty much says it all: I'm looking for a NA server with a large and active West coast (PST) player-base. I would judge that by how active the PF board is in the evenings (PST) when I generally play. I'm currently on Diablos, which is known to be a low-population server already, but the place just seems dead by the time I get on to play. I would appreciate any advice from the community!

(I'd also be looking for a medium to large FC with a strong PST player base on the given server. I am a mid-core player with 6 jobs leveled, 4 crafters are 1-star, 2 gatherers are 1-star.)

Cactuar is decent, I'll admit there are definitely slow periods on the PF but I'm pretty sure that's on every server. I'm PST myself and find the PF is pretty decent between 4PM - 11PM on weekdays. Weekend evenings vary quite a lot though. I just joined a new FC on my server and I've never seen less than 35 people online at any time of day, usually in the evenings there are 45+ people online.

That said, there are other very populated servers as well that might trump Cactuar, such as balmung/gilgamesh, but overall I find we have a good mix of players here on Cactuar. It's often difficult to create new characters here so keep that in mind if you're bringing any friends with you, that's how it is on all of the high pop servers as far as I know, but they do open up sometimes in early morning hours.

If you're interested in serious progression, Excalibur has quite a few strong endgame FCs. The server is locked at most times of the day, but usually opens up for an hour or so at 3am PST.

I second Cactuar in that it has a nice active NA base and the more active hours is as Doctor Pepper says.

The other good thing about Cactuar is that even though we are a high population, you can still find available housing in the subdivisions in all plot sizes.

Something to think about if you're considering housing alongside everything else.
