Please give us a "clear Blacklist" and a "delete all messages in inbox" function.

As the title states, this is a thread requesting two separate quality of life features that I think the community would greatly appreciate. I know the devs most likely have their hands completely full trying to prepare for Heavensward right now, but I think it would be useful to consider for future implementation when time and resources allow.
    1. Clear Blacklist feature - Currently, depending on the server, many players are swamped with RMT tells. The only way to really combat this is to turn busy on or to right click the name and blacklist. However, speaking for myself, I can say that I get at least 20+ tells every time I play, so my list fills up rather quickly. Needing to go through and delete 200 names each time is rather tedious, and I think a massive "clear all" type command to filter them out would be useful.
    2. Delete all messages in inbox feature - This is more or less of the same vein as the feature mentioned above. I send mail back and forth between my fc members, friends, and my own characters enough so that I need to regularly go through and delete my inbox. Doing so one at a time is tedious, and a "delete all messages in inbox" feature would greatly reduce the tedium and time spent doing this for many people I believe.

    Thanks for reading.

The above suggestions are great because they only require one tiny change to the interface - a single button. However, they're kinda the nuclear option. What if you want to keep a couple people on your blist, or keep a few messages in your inbox?

In my opinion, the best solution, though this would require more UI work and design time, would be to have a series of small checkboxes next to each name/message. You would have a "select all/deselect all" button and a "delete selected" button. That way, you can click "select all," then uncheck the couple ones you don't want to delete, and then click "delete selected."

This is how such lists in other products tend to work, such as gmail and google docs.

A report spam feature would mean we don't need to blacklist them.

The spam has been incredibly heavy on Hyperion lately. The other day I decided to keep a tick sheet of each message I received during my game session for one day. The total was 52. I was only able to drop what I was doing at the time to report 15. Only 4 messages were from repeat names. If I were to clear out my black list completely, it would completely have filled in roughly a week. Oddly enough the heaviest spam comes when I'm inside a housing zone, sometimes I get three per minute inside Mist or Lavender Beds.

My blacklist is obviously full, no names show as deleted. I clean out about 10 per day but this takes time. I don't really want to clear all out, because truly the blacklist is supposed to protect me from actual players I wish not to encounter or interact with again due to abusive behavoir - not for trying to keep illegal RMT advertisements at bay.
Please either make a separate list for "spam" or better, faster and easier ways to mask this. It's really extremely out of hand lately. I appreciate that we've had two mass bans in a relatively short time but honestly, the spam tells just got worse after this latest one.

My thinking was a solution like that would take more time, they would be less likely to give it to us over something easier to implement yet largely effective.

If, it's Square Enix intent, to allow the RMT threat to fester
[aka "heads in the sand"] then an easy-to-code mediocre quick-fix is,
(to allow entertainment without RMT harassment):

-- Allow join party while the busy flag is displayed.
-- Allow ready-check during busy flag.
-- Allow /Tell conversations with friends and FC during busy flag.
-- Neutral or positive busy flag icon, vs. the angry fish head symbol.
-- Allow boot-up into a busy flag condition.

This is not a very good fix, in light of far better suggestions right
here on this website. This fix separates subscribers who prefer not to be
    harassed
from those who sympathize with criminal spammers
    (spammer sympathizers).

This will define 3 groups of players.
-- Decent players who desire abuse-free entertainment
    -- Spammer and bot sympathizers.
    -- Criminals (bot owners)

This idea implies that Square Enix Terms of Service agreement is a farce.

A quick change to the /blist UI would be useful. Instead of how it is (just names) you could have it as a list with a reason for /blist next to their name...

    Jlahsdf lajkd : RMT
    Mlasdf Lasfd : RMT
    Some Idiot : Knob
    Clowd Stryfe''''' : Knob

Click delete, a small window pops up with checkboxes, you click the box you want to clear (RMT) and hit delete, all the /blisted names under RMT are deleted, but you get to keep the Knobs on your /blist. It could also have a "Delete RMT on log out" option to automatically clear the RMT list every time you log out.

Or we can wait until SE allow plugins, I'm sure someone will create a plugin that automatically /blists RMT's on everyone who owns the plugin's /blist.
