    PS3/4: LR/R2 strafing/side stepping.

As the title suggest, i would like to see the implementation of strafing/side stepping in legacy mode simply by holding down either the L2 or R2 triggers.

Currently, the only way to strafe/side step is to switch to standard mode, which prevents the character from running backwards or changing the camera angle independently of the character. There is also the target lock feature, but this also inhibits the player's movement and only allows you to 'circle' the target. Strafing is already possible for PC users, so would you please consider allowing controller users the same freedom.

You are mostly facing the target thus for melee autoattacks hit. But so does the lockon handle that and if you are good at it you can handle both lockon, delcok and move away and then back as needed.

Although this is true, having to lock on/off every time you need to move away from the target just seems like unnecessary effort. Target lock is also a pain in dungeons when there are multiple adds, but maybe that's just me :/

It just seems to me that being able to actively switch between legacy and standard (using L2 or R2 for example) would make life easier.

I'm not arguing against it more control options are only a good thing. When leveling both monk and dragoon I got quite used to it even with mobs and if you switched the target at the right moment it wouldn't even unlock you and you would just keep going.
