Purchased the game, but says I was still on Trial.

Hi purchased the game Collector's Edition last January 12, and I thought I will have unlimited access to the game. Today when I logged on, I was informed that my "FREE TRIAL" has expired and I have to subscribe in order to gain access to the game again. I'm very confused right now, I already paid for the game? Does Final Fantasy 14 really require the 30 days, 90 days, 280 days, membership to play the game? Wasn't buying the game itself enough to play it? Please help me understand.

Yes you must buy the Subscription, but imo i think it's a worthwhile investment. It keeps you entertained and you get too meet lots of new people. And the Sub is only $15 per month

FFXIV is and always has been a subscription based game. The standard $15 sub is good only if you plan on having more then one character on a server. If not you can go for the cheaper option $13 with gives you a single character slot across 8 servers. Honeslty this is all you need imo. Since you can level every class and profession on a single character.

Well that is some BS. the game is very expensive in PS store. and still you have to pay monthly stuff in order to gain access to it. They should just make the game free if people have to pay in order to at least log in. It's unfair to Final Fantasy Fans who can't afford to pay for games monthly.

If we didn't have the subscription it wouldn't get updates as frequently as it does now. It might also turn into a generic P2W mmorpg. I think it's great that is has a subscription

Just like to politely point out that Final Fantasy 11 has also always been monthly subscription based (since its release in 2002 and it's still going nearly 13 years later!).

The subscription pays for all the updates/additional content that is frequently added, but I can understand your upset at having thought it was a one off fee and now finding out it isn't.

ahh okay thank you for letting me know that subscriptions are or the updates. I understand now.. thank you also for understanding my point. But if I can also add politely that I just really feel robbed, that I paid like 60 dollars for the game and then after 30 days of "FREE TRIAL" (didn't even think that the 60 dollars were only for "FREE TRIAL") you have to pay again 15 dollars for another 30, 40 if you want 90 days, and hundred something for 280 days. I feel robbed and I believe that it should have been free on PS STORE because the 60 dollars I paid was only free membership. I'm sorry if I'm acting like this, I just fell in love with the game I admit. Losing complete access to something you love really is upsetting. I played DCUO and it's free but it's also monthly subscriber game, but at least it was free on PS Store and you have access to log in even as a non subscriber. But you don't have access to the updates, the special duty missions and etc. Oh well I guess I just have to suck it. Thank you for understanding.
