Where have treasure hunt parties gone?

I've had this pieskin map on me for several months now. Been kinda bugging me for awhile, but it says recommended full party. So not gona solo it.

Although every once in awhile I may see someone doing one, but not very often.

Well I never see any on PF any more, and the FC never even mentions um.

Has treasure hunting just become obsolete now?

Guss I could always try to PF it, wonder If anyone will bite, since I've literally havn't seen one up for maybe 2 months now...

They're all soloable without much trouble at our current gear level. That being said, if you really want a party, put up your own PF or just shout in a city (or ask your friends, that always works).

People just don't do them because there's not much of a reward. The only really worthwhile thing is the Nutkin, and that's a rare drop off of a rare map.

I just run Boarskin maps now to get the unhidden ones. For Piesteskin maps, quick call out in FC and we get a few jumpin in to help if needed.

Was hoping they would add some improved new maps with higher ilvl requirements with 2.4 and 2.5..... Allagan treasure map, rare drop from coil turns, difficult fight, S rank difficulty? reduced HP for 8 peeps, good drops. Unspoilt map , rare drop from unspoilt nodes A rank difficulty?....

But no, no advancement on the treasure map system :S

I do maps often, I usually run with a member or two from my FC or friendlist. For pieste I would suggest one other person with you just in case you get chimera. There are a few things that you can get that are pretty cool/sellable and for those working for their Lucis tools moonstones drop from any level map. Which is awesome! Currently (52/220) moonstones needed ;D

I just solo Peisteskin as SCH. The only one that is impossible is Chimera (solo), as far as I know. Some require good timing, gear, and fast targeting... like the damn Snurble or whatever they're called, along with the Adamantoise. Others are just faceroll, like the Basilisk or Territorial waves.

Treasure hunting is basically a niche crowd now. There are people who dabble in it from time to time, but most just don't care to gamble their profits since it sells fast. If it weren't for the Nutkin I got from an Unhidden map that I got from a soloed Piesteskin map, I'd probably be at a loss of potential profits that would have been made simply selling the maps.

We have a sch in our FC that has been able to solo the Chimera one recently. I've tried but not quite geared well enough for it as of yet ... but not my main either. Usually just pick up one person and the 2 of us run our maps. Its plenty enough.

I put together a group twice a week now.. Since they now drop HQ crafting supplies like coke and potash they are worth it. They also drop moonstones.. If you craft they are worth it..

I usually just grab one buddy and we down whatever ones we have. A bard and a white mage and two birds can easily handle all of them including Chimera.

Everyone is prob spamming hunts
