    Demon Robe: 31 crit x .215 = 6.665 INT + 31 det x .284 = 8.804 INT equals a total of 15.469 INT....
The 3.234 INT from spellspeed should really be 0. So it is really only 15.105 which sless that 15.469. So the VIT is the determining factor, but you may give up a tiny fraction of DPS for it. More spell speed means constant casting leads to forced downtime to charge MP in stuff like T10 and T11 so DPS contribution of 0.

No, the weight isn't 0. It shouldn't be 0 just because you don't like it.

For what the weights are good for, they are as close to fact as we can currently get. While it is absolutely true that Spell Speed doesn't help a Summoner very much, the fact that there is a weight for it at all is proof that it does something. Pretending that it is zero just because you don't like it is poor judgement; the secondary stats really don't matter that much. The only thing one should actually worry about is the loss from overcompensating on Accuracy. That is, unless min-maxing to gain 1.5-2% extra DPS is worth the trouble to a particular person.

It is also worth noting that the speed stat does not make you run out of MP/TP in Coil!. The fact that the fights are ungodly long in comparison to upkeep time is what makes people run out of resource. It's going to happen in fights this long whether you stack speed or not, so stop blaming the stat.

For fun, here's a list of things that Spell Speed helps Summoner with:

    1. Ruin Spam
    2. Getting dots on an enemy from a cold start, like when an add appears that needs to be bursted down but started away from the boss.
    3. Getting an extra spell out of Raging Strikes
    4. It's currently affecting pets. It may be a bug, but you might as well roll with it while it's there.
    5. Having to use any of these spells when Swiftcast is down: Resurrection, Summon, Shadowflare

So, yeah; definitely not a "0 DPS" contribution.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I really appreciate it. Sounds like I really just need to try and pace myself when it comes to WoD. Also, if I can just figure out which exact pieces I need from WoD and Ironworks, I'll be set to piece together a good gearset!

The caster body drops from the final boss chest. Knowing that, you might be able to save yourself time by joining runs in progress instead of doing full runs. Enough people still quit during runs that you shouldn't have long waits.

That's not a bad idea. I hadn't thought of that actually. If I'm reading things correctly so far, the Caster Body is the main thing I'm needing to shoot for too.

So to get the best result, I need to exchange the Demon Skirt of Casting I have in favor of the Ironworks version, keep the Demon Sandals of Casting I have, and shoot for the Demon Robe of Casting from the final boss. Is there any harm in getting filling in the rest with Ironworks, like the head and gloves, or should I be trying for the complete WoD set?

So sorry I'm asking so many questions!

I dont know especially the WoD/Ironworks stats for caster gear but my experience from Tanks and Healers is that a Mix is always a good choice to get accuracy/ilvl/substats...

OP, try the Body, Hand, Feet and mix in the rest. Pound per Pound you'll come out ahead. Spell Speed is almost worthless on Smn. Don't make the that mistake.
Also, for me I won't be upgrading any Ironworks gear gear, why? Its going to worthless come the Expansion. If you find yourself wanting to try FCOB, go ahead and upgrade. If you dont try FCOB, I'd try getting my weapon upgraded.

Sounds like as good a plan as any! I appreciate the help and I'll start working on this and see how it goes!
