    I'm not very tech savvy. But try to imagine thousands and thousands of "crafting saves" it adds up on their server and I can only imagine over time it can really cause some problems. it may appear the simple solution is for SE to just have our synths saved to their servers, but it is not as simple as we may believe it to be. I'm sure they have discussed this and on day they will be able to come up with a solution. Till than were just going to have to clench our teeth and hope we don't disconnect.

    And to the OP- really sorry this happened to you. I know I would be enraged..to say the least.

    They are already saving everything, the results of our crafts are saved the moment we finish, loot people get, gear we are weating, etc, etc, so I doubt it would take up that much more resources.

    on a per person basis saving each step doesn't seem like much but considering there is thousands of people doing various things constantly, adding to the server load for a random small chance to dc mid craft just isn't worth the extra resources needed by the servers too implement it.

    you just have to chalk it up to bad luck like the nq I just got from a 87% chance to hq a foragers scythe, cost me 1mil near enough to attempt came out nq and they sell for 250k so big lose for me but oh well not worth dwelling on cus it doesn't happen often,

    and they are struggling as it is. You'd be surprised on how much more space it would take, nonetheless I agree with whats said but in order for them to do that they would seriously need to upgrade their equipment. Im guessing by the time 3.0 comes out they are going to have no choice.

    Much smaller f2p games manage just fine, so tbh I don't see why a company as big as this should have such issues? The game seems to be doing very well financilly.

    their cheap and don't want to cough up the money heh. I dont know who the owner of SE is, but coming from a buisiness standpoint they don't want to spend more than they have to. Eventually they will need to upgrade their hardware. Im also wondering if it has to do with consoles. One of the biggest mistakes in my opinion is making this game for playstation platform. They have limited their games (addons ex) because playstation users won't be able to handle it.

    Tbh we don't really know what is planned behind the scenes. Im pretty confident they will address this issue eventually. Because if they do not, they are going to lose money long term because of players leaving.

    playstation may ultimately be a limiting factor to the games progression but it brings a lot more potential customers nowadays to be a console based game.

    would be a mistake to ignore that market with such an established franchise as ff.

    There's a lot they don't store on the servers, for instance you might notice that you log in with 0 TP. With all the bots that warp underground hitting mining points and killing mobs, I imagine a lot of potential for abuse.

    What happens in that instance is that you DC but your computer doesn't realize it for a bit so you continue ridding or running. When your machine tells you "connection with the server is lost" you are a bit away from where the server lost you.
