    5mil gil gone in 2 steps

    Please please please se add some way inorder to save current progress in a synth.
    Whether just a safe mode you can activate when using expensive mats, i dont care if this prolongs the time it takes to make that synth but losing mats to a dc is depressing.
    I rarely ever dc, im mainly a pvp player and my connection never has issues with 72 man front lines etc
    I was attempting my first primal weapon last night (blm mogstaff) hit CZ > IQ then dc

    The issues as they have said was there isn't really a way to guard against people if they know they are going to fail the synth to just pull the plug to simulate a DC.

    Unless they make DC = pause the crafts current progress etc.

    If each step is saved this will prevent against people abusing it, i.e hasty touch > sent to server > fail sent back saved or however it works idk, im sure there's a very simple way to impletement this. When your doing 30+ steps per synth its ridiculous that not at least 1 of them are saved

    While this is one of the primary points to people that are against DC protection, how is it abusable if the game would theoretically save/pause your current craft the way it is when the DC occurred? The game already logs in all your steps and their results, as well as your buffs (although they do tick realtime). Hell, my game even remembers if I logged off while mounted, and logs me back in on that same mount.

    It just seems like a big oversight to let something like that go by, especially when they keep introducing large profile crafts that either cost millions in materials, or are time gated by the sealants.

    I guess that could be a solution. However I have to wonder how often does the game save data, or how does it save server side? I mean is it saving data every second or minute or what. I don't know how that works. I've been in situations where I have had a DC and when I log back in my character is in a different spot from where the DC happened, as if it reverted back to the last save.

    So if that is true then one could still use a DC to their advantage. If its looking like a synth may fail or you don't like how its going you could DC the game in hopes that the last save was a few steps ago so when you get back in, the pause picks up at last save say a few steps back. But again I'm not sure how often data is saved.

    That is a concern eye_gore that it will be abused if not probably impletemented however due to the natural of crafting steps the method used should save every step of progress not just random steps here and there.
    I dont understand the whole packet blah blah server stuff, but whether this should only save when crafting 1*+ to prevent against server overload (unsure how often it saves generally)
    i had massive connection issues at my last house, whenever i would start to dc i could still receive fc chat text etc and move but the funny thing is where ever i stood as the 90k error popped i would log back in at so ever during that dc phase there was some sort of saving going on during the save which lead me to beleive client side?

    I don't know, but i've bought items on the MB and DC'd right away and the item was in my bags when i re-logged, so must be very frequently.

    Made one just now finally 82% nq but tbh just practicing atm as this was purely for glamour, really should at least get artisan main hand lol i crafted a hq artisan offhand for crp
    But learnt what progress i need
