    To be frank, given the quality of most fans' writing, I have no desire to see user submissions show up in in the game. I'd rather it be purely a lore thing if it happens.

    Hence the value in having a competition to filter the quality, rather than picking submissions at random... I would personally love to see what some people could come up with!

    I believe there are man who play this game that are talented writers, as with all arts. As was already stated, a contest is more likely going to choose the best and highest quality stories. It is understood though many may love a story while others dislike it. That is the way it is for all the arts, no reason not to value this idea.
