Any1 have a link to 2.5 BiS for WHM?
Any1 have a link to 2.5 BiS for WHM?
Due to the nature of the healing role, there is no such thing as a definitive BiS for White Mage.
Tell us which stats are most important to you and I'm sure someone can point you in a direction![]()
I'm scholar... I just wanted to know what was best gear for whm compared to sch for final coil loot
The common answer is "whm leaves crit to the sch and take the rest" so : Piety / Det / SS.
Then the WHM chooses the order he wants to get between the 3. Some WHM love Crit though, so in the end it's very personal.
But in your case, you should ask your WHM instead of asking in the forum, he's the one concerned, unless he has no idea how stat works, which should be weird if you are in final coil![]()
Due to the nature of secondary stats on the i130 gear, gear with combination of det+piety is rare. The only ones would be the Ironworks robe and ring. In that sense: Having two ironworks rings (one augmented and the other not upgraded) is actually a better pick for a White Mage simply due to the piety on it. The determination on it will gap the mind difference.
The rest of the gear is mainly crit+piety or spell speed+piety. Crit is luck based and may or may not assist you in any way like it does with Scholar. But it doesn't hurt to have. Considering most gear has more piety on with crit compared to the alternatives of piety and spell speed - Aside from the fact that spell speed is relatively useless anyway. Whatever choices of gear that -does- have determination on it is usually in tandem with spell speed or crit. But aside from the two pieces I mentioned before, none of them come with piety. If you have sufficient amount of piety, you can probably fill a few slots that has no piety on it in favour for determination.
So bottom line: Find an MP pool you are comfortable with. The popular meta seems to be 5000 mp. But explore it a bit yourself to see how much MP you need, not what someone else needs.
bump... can u end game whm give me 2.5 bis links? or your opinion?
Out of curiosity. Why do you want such a thing?
Some replies have answered to you that there is no clear cut BiS for WHMs. If you insist on one, it's merely an opinion. The WHM you might be trying to help here could completely oppose any BiS loadouts that are presented here, as it is completely subjective to how said WHM wants to gear themselves out.
My opinion is choose the BiS you are comfortable with. For me, it's SS/DET while making sure I reach the 5K MP for Final Coil.
For others, it can be DET/Piety, or DET/Crit or even Crit/Piety ect.
There are as much BiS as players, but the commons are building around 1 stat in particular (your choice) then trying to boost a 2nd one a little. And of course, always having enough MP for each encounter.
My list:
"If it's the highest ilvl and has the secondary stats you like then it's BiS."
My list applies to all content and patches, before and after its posting.
Just copy+pasted from a previous thread I responded to.
People seemed to have liked the math before, so let's run through a few things. We'll start out with 2 simple builds focused on end-game gear. We won't use the relic weapons as currently you can't upgrade your relic weapon to 135. So we'll be using the Dreadwyrm Cane with a base of 82 Magic Damage. Race wise I will be using a Lalafell - Dunesfolk (myself) for the stats. Your Mind/Piety may be slightly higher or lower then what you see, but it should only be off by a small margin.
The two builds in question will be as follows:
Determination - Going strictly for every piece of gear that adds determination with the exception of NOT using the ilvl 120 and ilvl 130 ring together (because MND is the primary stat we want, with determination being 2nd of course). So both ilvl 130 rings will be used.
Piety - All gear that has piety on it, again with the exception of the rings. 1 Pie = 8 mana (roughly rounded)
Please note this also assumes the best food used possible, as will be shown in each link at the very bottom.
Determination Build
http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/P8BL
Mind - 664
Det - 333
Pie - 413
Mana - 4850+
SSpeed - 506
Crit - 428 (11.39%)
Cure 1 - 1540 (Average Heal)
Piety Build
http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/P8BO
Mind - 664
Det - 243
Pie - 530
Mana - 5790+
SSpeed - 450
Crit - 459 (13.56%)
Cure 1 - 1500 (Average Heal)
Conclusion
If you want to sacrifice a little over 900 mana, you can pump out an extra 40 HP (on average) with Cure 1. This is using the best food for both, which happens to be the same exact food, and a 4 star synth (doubtful most people are willing to spend the money to have this made). I'm not saying one build is better then the other, all I'm doing is providing the raw data. Each person will have to decide for themselves if they want more mana, or bigger heals (or a hybrid of both).
