    I think the vague timeframe for implementation was said to be around 3.0 or patch 3.1. Allowing a solo player to enter a dungeon alongside NPC teammates from one's Grand Company who also gain levels through battle. It's coming eventually, but not right now.

    I would not want to do a dungeon with NPCs. Maybe something with 2 players and 2 chocobos (which I believe they are already doing something to that effect), but not NPCs.
