They should look into giving smn Zantetsuken for level 3 limit break ( with a certain percentage of him not appearing at all 30/70 - meteor instead ). This would fit the role odin had in earlier final fantasy games.

I would say no to Odin simply because he is a generic SMN and previous FF games dont seem to have too much of a place in this one.

Best thing I've read about summoner. Switch tri-disaster and contagian. That would be amazing!



Here's an issue we've had since day one. Remove Stun from Ifrit and Silence from Selene! We don't need it on them and just screw up fights that do need it.

Unless you put them on obey and bind their abilities positionals to hotkeys to quickly activate them. Ifrit has never given me a problem in that regard. But I do wish Ifrit had a more practical ability than a stun. I rarely use it. Only on very specific fights (like the scorpion thing in Satasha HM)



Putting Ifrit on Obey and not using crimson cyclone is going to effect your pet's dps. Selene's AI is now smart enough to cycle between magic/melee buffs to let player keep her on Sic but since she cast silence you need to keep her on Obey to avoid diminish returns. Bottom line is pets, except maybe Titan for soloing, don't need these abilities and are a hindrance rather than an asset in fight that need to be stunned or silenced. I hope the video isn't a sign that they aren't planning on making any visual changes to egis.

Nope they said the Egi's are staying, and it's a real shame. They could have made something really badass, but instead we have egi's. Tbh the Dev team thinks the player base is dumb and can't tell the difference between a human size egi or a enemy, so they decided to dumb down the look.

This statement was a very long time ago. They said this was the artist depiction of how they wanted summoner to look. The community since then has not shut up about it. If you look at the jp forums, they complain about the same things. If enough people complain about it, they'll have to retake it into consideration. The egi designs all look very rushed. They redesigned the entire game and added summoner and scholar at the same time. The visuals clearly show this. Physick has the exact same spell animation as cure. Really? If so then they found the most blandest artist ever. The Egis we have now look like a cheap happy meal toy. I guess all the real artists went out for beer, and they left this guy alone in a room with color pencils, and when the real artists came back and saw what he had done they felt so bad that they let his work be put in the game. Sorry, I criticize artwork heavily.
