Two days ago I've created a PF group for Ifrit X to farm pony. I've precised no bonus because of bad experiences. We are 7 in the group and a tank is missing. I receive a whisp from a tank who tells me he has bonus but knows the fight. I tell him it's difficult because in many cases people disband. Just after I ask him to wait. In group channel I ask people if they could accept a player with bonus and it was very nice to see people accept. We juste oneshoted it, tank received congrats ans advices from members, specially the other tank, and farm could begin. It was so cool tout play with these people ^^.

Simply put, a massively multiplayer game should never, absolutely never lead one to feel that the existence of other people in the game world serves only as a nuisance.

World of Warcraft does that.

Final Fantasy XIV does not.

I know this community is not perfect, but it is the best I have EVER played with. I understand sometimes hunts get pulled early, I understand that some people watch cut scenes, and others go really fast. My personal experience is that I have received more kindness, patience and understanding in FF XIV than in any other game I have ever played and it is by a large margin. I have been playing since UO and have played every major game since. I just wanted to take the time to say a great big THANK YOU>

Mind, I have realised, that the furher I get from progression and world firsts, the beter the community is. Maybe Ultros & Primal are filled with people who only care about world first, etc, even if they can't do it themselves. On Ultros, even easy content is listed as "Clear Experience Required" . . . which you then find out the PF was put up by a noob, who doesn't have clear exp. . . .wtf!?

/le sigh. I'm glad your experience is different han most of mine. I jus try and suround myself with like minded and helpful people. For he most part, it works out well.
