Just for your own personal knowledge for the future, you really shouldn't initially pull anything with Provoke. It will literally do next-to-nothing, and is not intended to work in this manner.


I only assume this based on your macro, since Leeroy is infamous for pulling that trash when no one was ready. Provoke is meant to "take back" any enemy from someone who topped your hate bar, not to generate enmity when none was there to begin with.

Provoke is pretty useful when a mob leaves tank gang you can provoke him to come back and flash.
I chose provoke because it's how I start every boss battle (Even though I'm already first to rush.) I still enjoy reference. Old, but I've had quite a few partys getting reference and laughing.

48, most of my gear was purple 46-47.

You mean pink I assume, the only purple gear right now is Relic Weapon/Shield...

And more clarification, why don't you use PLD? (Don't be expected to be taken seriously in 8/24-mans if you're not on PLD...)

This is correct way to use Provoke.

^ That is not. Provoke only gives you 1 point of enmity above the highest person on the list. If you begin your pull with Provoke, you are gaining less enmity than an auto-attack from a healer.

I'm not trying to call you out or anything, it's obvious your a new player. I was just trying to help. You don't have to take my advice if you don't want to, you are free to play however you wish. Just keep expecting to get trolled in dungeons if you show no care in the world to better yourself as a player.
