So everyone knows that RMTs use their creepy cookie cutter messages "Let's make things better!" weirdness. And SE uses a checker on the backend that forces those messages to never arrive, but they have issues like "www" being "lol" in Japan and all that so it's not that easy.

I was thinking since that checker already exists, give it to the players on the front-end. SE still needs to filter out most of it and handle shouts and all that, but until this gets solved (which it never really will be) we should have a place where we can enter in phrases that auto block the tells too. If you let me block tells that have the phrase "Let's make things better" I'd block about 90% of the tells I've gotten these past 5 weeks already no problem. Better that even once a day (if they start changing the message, which they aren't great at doing anyways) than b-listing 20 a day now.

Just throwing that idea out there.

Resistance is futile, the rmt make a new character every 5 minutes or so, blacklisting will get you nowhere. Better off just ignoring them or putting up busy status, pretty rare I get more than a few tells from the same character.

I doubt we'll see any type of chat filter before official addons are released but it would be a nice feature to have.

More seriously, the moment this is instituted they would just change their message or add a typo. SE's already caught up in this sort of arms race; they need a better solution.

I wonder if allowing FC/LS members and those on your friend list to bypass the /busy status would be feasible. It would also be nice if ready checks could bypass the status.
