Ties That Bind - Acolyte says I do not have wristlet!

My wife and I started Ties that bind but recently she decided to hand in her standard wristlet to the acolyte and abandon the mission. A week or two later I joined the game and I still had the mission. I discarded the wristlet instead of going to the acolyte and the mission was not abandoned. I went to acolyte but could not abandon the mission with no wristlet. Went to Mog Station and got another standard wristlet. Brought that wristlet to Acolyte but Acolyte sad I had no wristlets in possession.
I really need to abandon this mission so I can use the gold wristlet and redo the mission with my wife, who was able to successfully abandon the mission.
She is waiting to do the mission with me because she also has a gold wristlet.

Lastly, for some reason even though my wife abandoned our ties that bind mission, I was able to continue the mission alone up to the praying at different locations part, which I thought was weird.

Anyway, how can I get this fixed. I have submitted a few different types of tickets and none have been responded to. I have been waiting a month and I really hope I can get help here!
