Impose a Golden Saucer Enterance Fee

Too late, it is already here. You should be pointing fingers at Yoshi-P for not making the zones able to accommodate 150% more than the possible amount. Practical or not, it is still one way could theoretically avoid this issue and I refuse to believe they cant do anything about it other than put restrictions in place.

You speak of the GS congestion?, that's easy, same reason we keep hearing constantly about server limitations, "business" models.

The bean counters at SE tell Yoshi-p what he can and cant have, sooo, server limitations.

There's already a fee. You can go by airship or aetherite. Either way will cost you.

All player here pay their monthly sub, they have their own right too. I play at high populate server and see lot of afk player in Gold Gaucer,
I'm not having any lag at all, smooth even there is a crowd afk player in that card game area.

It's your wooden PC's and your dial up connection problem..... Go upgrade it.

No it's not just peoples wooden PC's and dial-up ISP's, it's SE's budget and server limitation woes.

Yea, again, it is a stupid idea, we agree on that, I simply find it comical that people seem to always think that everyone has inferior equipment and ISP service, that all connection issues are always client side, and SE has somewhere an unlimited amount of investment capital allocated for XIV alone.

Guys, the OP's reasonings (which I do not agree with at all) for this request had nothing to do with congestion or how the current Gold Saucer works. Check the latest posts, it was bumped by someone else just to taunt ("How do you feel now?"). The thread was made before GS was implemented, so no one is trying to ruin anything, consider it most like brainstorming.

I still disagree with the idea, but at this point it's a dead topic.

GS has zero effect on the economy. It uses it own currency that isn't convertible to gil.

It's less a casino and more a video arcade - with MGP being the arcade tokens.

The way I see it, the setting in the golden saucer seems to resemble an in-game 'casino'. Just add in some board games like roulettes, baccarats, blackjacks, slot machines with dealers/servers wearing bunny outfits and allow us to gamble with gils and that'll be perfect. lol!

Okay I do not use the GS, as I am out playing the game and focusing on player progression, but . . . seriously . . . what the bloody fuck are you on about with "inflation"? This isn't Wal Street - it's a game. So I am properly and correctly guessing that you have had some bad luck on the market boards or something trying to get rich quick and this is your way of lashing out against the player base because they didn't make you get rich quick. That is the only logical explanation for this suggestion. LOL. How about just find some better, more valuable items to sell and go sell them and stop getting in-game ideas from those "get rich quick" schemes you've been reading on these fake game guides.

Disagree completely with entrance fee, no need for that at all

Agree with an afk timer/logout (but make it an hour or so) timer only if afk....not simply for being inside/playing x amt of time though.
