entrance fees only work when you don't have to pay for the main attraction. For ex. you pay an "entrance fee" at amusement parks, why? Because once you are in, you can ride the rides as much as you want. If you had to pay for each ride seperately, you wouldn't have an entrance fee. Casinos you don't have to pay to enter, but you have to pay for each "game" or attraction while in the casino. And since its supposed to be available to everyone, either its not going to have one, or its going to have a fee so low, its just for show, like paying 100gil or doing a quest which involves you purchasing something at a low price.

I expect that Gold Saucer will have some Grand Prize goal to reach for, costing something like 50Mil in tokens to have, it's gonna be a huge cluster of people crowding one zone leading to crashing, and lagging. Rich people can pay for status day 1, and the forums will be swamped with "Why would you gate something so iconic/desirable behind a paywall" people will cite "You're not meant to buy it out, just play at the gold saucer regularly over the course of 6 months and you can get it"

Rest of the gold saucer will just be some grind that is sort of fun.

I have over 7 million gil atm, sold a nutkin minion and selling 3 star miner node items mostly, and sealants everyday.

It sounds like you have an issue spending your gil, so let me help you out!

* Go make all 8 Novus weapons, with Det/Crit builds.
* Buy unmelded Artisan's gear from the Marketboard, and pentameld them then re-sell them if you'd like.
* Pentameld a Kirimu coat with 5x Savage Aim IV materia.
* Pentameld all 8 Artisan Offhands with Tier 4 materias. Could throw in Forager's gear too.
* Transfer to my server and donate 3.5m gil to me because that's exactly how much I spent trying to meld a Craftsman's Command IV onto the 4th slot of my Artisan chest
* Do the Lucis grind for all 8 crafting classes
* Save up to 15 mil instead and buy a private M house. Or even 60 mil for an L house instead.
* Buy T10 - T13 runs. For the fun of it.

Lots of crazy and perhaps unfeasible avenues for you to spend your gil on.

What. That's stupid. Once GS is implemented, I'm sure there are going to be a lot of people that buy this game just for that. Why lock so many potential new paying customers behind a paywall for content that is so anticipated. If you want a Gil sink just donate gil to poor people yourself.
