Impose a Golden Saucer Enterance Fee

In FFVII there was a 1-time enterance fee. FFXIV should adopt this idea by imposing an enterance fee.

It was said the GS will not be a place to make gil, so why not take some out to counter inflation? There are many other opportunities to make gil within FFXIV.

Also, perhaps impliment a time limit to prevent loitering and afking, /shouting for duties, ect...

A fee for time spent inside the GS would make the place a privledge and joy to experience rather than a place to go afk.

Also instead of a consistent fee; like FFVII, have a 1-time fee, but at a higher cost. The 1-time fee may grant you VIP access and perhaps give you new games/items/exclusives. This is kinda like buying the Collector's Edition rather than just the standard edition, and could be an incentive for people to strive for to purchase.

i am fine with a 1 time fee should be something like 5mil keep them plebs outta my GS.

also no on the time limit i want a expensive place to afk sooooo that will be a big no no.

Or use the amount of gil from enterances to increase the likelyhood certain cards or rare items drop within the GS, like >10 million gil = +10% rare cards from npcs. Lol.

....Sorry, but what the heck are you smoking? The devs said that the GS's currency can't be traded among players, so why do you want to impose a currency gate on a feature that nearly everyone wanted to play in? There is ZERO reason to impose an entry fee to just get IN the darn place! You're already going to be paying gil just to get the tokens for goodness sake!

Yea maybe the time limit is a little much, but like everything in game it requires a questline to follow. So in this case, perhaps a gil enterance fee is the pre-req to enter.

Also im sure friends/FC/LS would be willing to help with it.

I was thinking along the lines of countering inflation and people just hoarding gil, and it was just an idea. And i tried to put it into context by using along the FFVII lorelines of the fee / pre-reqs you needed to enter the GS in FF7.

Even if it wasnt gil, to get a choco licence cost seals, or gear for tomes, a place of entertainment would just make sence to cost gil to enter.

Gold Saucer is suppose to attract all kind of players regardless their wealth so i don't think it will be expensive.

Is the OP lost his mind.. It is a game, GS suppose to be a place you can relax and enjoy, doing a bunch of mini games... No need for dumb entrance fee, we already pay monthly fee, we do not need or want any kind of gated content whatsoever in this game. Otherwise just make it free to play, and you get 5 free ticket to do dungeons, otherwise you must pay... No thanks, come up with a better idea.
