Believe it or not, "leveling" is not the only means of gauging difficulty (not to mention it generally makes for a horrible measure of real skill as well).
WoW is successful because it is fun to play and has actual 'content' for all ranges of playstyles (even hardcore). This game, currently, can barely appeal to even FFXI's specific niche audience, and even then only in terms of party-play being vastly optimal for leveling. There's alot more wrong with this game than just "It is/isn't FFXI-2".
