Problem with the kicking system

Okay, so today I queued for Snowcloak and the tank wanted us to kick him cause we did have a BLM and refused to do anything until we did to so he could avoid the 30min penalty. However right after being kick he queue for same dungeon and got our group yet again and refused to do anything until kicked still...

Is the kicking system broken? It shouldn't allow someone who your group kick to reenter the same group.

Please SE make it so that a kicked player can not reenter the group they were kick from or make it so that getting kick adds the 30min queuing penalty so that the kick system is not abused in this way.

Problem here isn't with the system, it's with the player you kicked. Report them for harassment and refuse to boot them, inform them if they want a certain job setup they can use the party finder instead of wasting other people's time, they gave up every right to be disappointed with the party the moment they clicked "join queue".

I'd definitely have reported that tank for harassment. It doesn't matter how many times he rejoins or even if he's kicked at all, but you and the other party members deserved the right to be able to run that dungeon without having your time wasted. Especially with knowing how long dps queue times can be, I'd consider that as a lot of time wasted due to a tank throwing a tantrum over a party setup.

You could have kicked him and waited a while before looking for a new tank, so to lower your chances of getting him again. The other solution would have been to refuse to kick him and let him let him eat the penalty for leaving.

But what exactly was is reasoning for wanting to be kicked? You say it was because you had a BLM, or do you mean because you didn't have a BLM? I've seen tanks complain about a lack of BLMs, but never about having one.

You could have tried reporting but i have found the GM's can't do much unless you know what server they are from and have chat logs so you probably want to do some prep and research first. I've found a lot of trollish or just plain difficult Tanks come from Sargatanas i don't really know why that is. Is that supposed to be some sort of hardcore server where just being on it people think they are better than they are? It's been like 95% of cases where i had a diva for a Tank they came from that server.

Personally I like it how it is. I can get people to votekick me so I can change jobs after someone ragequits.

If someone left (aka you havent got a full party anymore) you can just leave wthout eating a penalty - so no need to votekick. So if the system would be changed in a way that a player who got votekicked cant join that group again that wouldnt apply - so, yes, please change the system that way... the group got rid of someone for a reason (hopefully a decent and good one, but it wouldnt be a pleasant run anyways if someone comes back into agroup that just kicked him...)

So asking for a votekick seems never suitable to me - and if someones asking me to votekick I simply tell him "no" - either he wants to play, than he might go on or he dont want to - than he might eat the penalty. Reporting such guys is the best you can do (specially in this case... whining about the dps-setup...)

I just plain don't get the behavior. Without a blm it'll take, what, an extra 3-5 mins to finish the dungeon? Versus how much time he probably wasted waiting to get kicked and requeuing and repeating? Me and my friends have run across this behavior a couple times. Our solution is always to just refuse and make it time inefficient for them and eventually they begrudgingly do the run.

This happened again today, we had to kick the same tank until we ran out of kick votes and were forced to vote abandon. GMs can't do anything about it cause the player doesn't get to choose which group they get put into. Seriously, there needs to be a penalty if you get kicked so you can't reenter a dungeon and get the same group...

I hope you've tried though? Because I would consider that harassment - no one should be that stupid by himself. He certainly dont have to join in progress, thats not even the standard setting! And as tank he'll get instaqueues anyways so no need to speed them up by behaving like that. So unless he dont know about that and cant make the simple conclusion "Oh, wait I'm getting the same group again, I might wait a little before trying to join that dungeon in progress again and stop waisting everyones time" himself thats harrasment - and I would report him for this.
Also... I would refuse to kick him the next time. Even if that means that you'll have to spend the whole time in that dungeon without doing anything. Might just ignore the tank and try to push forwards (might be some fun aswell!) - but doing as he demands isnt a solution. As you can see: his behavior is only getting worse... hes getting what he wants (more or less) so why not carry on with that?
